Using 10.1 + W7

(I know, I shouldn't be doing this, but I cannot afford not to ;-/)

Anyways, basically all is well, with two exceptions:

1. the delta-underline-character is not shown
2. F9 (and other hotkeys) do not work in the editor

Is there a way to deal/fix with these issues or is it a "penalty" for using 10.1 (or a motivation to upgrade the legacy stuff...) which I would have to accept?
