Here's an update on the Agenda:

As much of the meeting as possible will be conducted as a "Webinar" with most participants at the Albion but at least one speaker elsewhere and other remote attendees listening in. Details of how to connect will be published nearer the time.

Brian Becker will speak from New York about recent developments in MyServer.
Ray Cannon will demonstrate his Raspberry Pi Robot and Music application.
Dan Baronet will demonstrate installing Dyalog and MyServer on a Raspberry Pi.
Kai Jäger will conduct his experiment posted previously.

Suggested item for Feb agenda:

What progress has been made in the attempt to enable APL programmers to develop APL systems on the internet browser platform?

Cheers,
Graeme.

Graham,

That's what Brian's MiServer is all about - He is talking at the BAA on Friday.
Make sure you are there in time to listen to him because it will be good.

Michael

Michael,

Thank you for the reminder about Brian's talk. Please can you (or anyone else) list the urls of, say, 3 new public web sites that effectively use APL underneath? (I know of only 3 in total - Ziggi's, TommyJ's and aplsmith.com .) I would really like to feel the power of APL showing itself in web site system design and functionality.

I am looking forward to listening to Brian in The Albion on Friday and very much hope that MiServer is the answer that we aspiring internet programmers need - viz an internet applications development platform for APL programmers.

Cheers,
Graeme.
