Zark APL Tutor

Post by neeraj »

Does anyone know if there is a repository of the Zark APL Tutor News publication? I have come across the 2001 Quarter 2 issue and find it useful. Does anyone know if the original publications are archived or available for sale. I know about tutorial.dyalog.com but that is not the newsletters (tutorial.dyalog.com is also broken and doesn't work)

What do you mean by tutorial.dyalog.com is broken?
I just tried it and it seems to be alive and well...

Everytime I have tried to use it, it doesn't respond. Nothing happens.

Step 1 - Go to tutorial.dyalog.com
Step 2 - Click on the Next Button

Nothing happens - Safari keeps showing the spinning circle

I have tried from multiple OS and multiple computers with the same results. I have tried clicking on the next button, tried Test Expressions screen. Nothing Works. JavaScript is on by default and I have not turned it off. You are welcome to log into my machine remotely to see for yourself.

I've done some experiments and it seems that under Windows Chrome and Opera have problems, but IE, FF and Safari don't; under Linux FF is fine, Opera doesn't work, and Konqueror is slow to respond.

We will see what we can do to fix this.

I have tried Safari under Mac OS/X and Chrome under Windows. Those do not work.

neeraj,

Just so you know, I'm looking into this issue at the moment. I'm able to replicate what you see on Safari on OSX 10.6.

Hi neeraj

I have made some changes to the tutorial system, please could you have a look and see if it is now working for you, on Safari on OSX and on Opera on Windows, we're still seeing some odd issues where you need to press NEXT twice, otherwise it appears to be working, I'll continue to look into these, but it should now work to some extent.
