Hello,

I am amazed to notice a very annoying difference between the interpretation(performance) of Dyalog and that of Excel

APL 13.0
+2 ⎕NQ '.' 263 16254
1944 7 2 6

Excel
Format date DD/MM/YY
16254 -> 01/07/44

Why this difference?

Try these in Excel:

      +2 ⎕NQ '.' 263 59
1900 2 28 2
      +2 ⎕NQ '.' 263 60
1900 3 1 3

then try to work out which is correct.
