Dear all,
I have a lot of old MS Word documents with Dyalog Std TT font for APL pieces.
You may disagree, but I believe there are a lot of great APL pieces there:-)
Unfortunately it is not readable now. If even I install old good Dyalog Std TT I have something "half-readable", like attached.
Does anybody know on how to automise conversion from old Dyalog Std TT to modern APL385 Unicode?
Thanks a lot.
Sasha,

Re: Dyalog Std TT to APL385 Unicode?
Sasha,
I am thinking that if you have the Dyalog Std TT font installed on your Windows PC ... then, the Word Document should reflect that font and you should see all of the symbols correctly.
Can you please upload an example of the WORD document with some APL code that we can look at ?
Cheers

Hi Sasha,
You could try changing the font of the Dyalog Std TT text in Word to Dyalog Symbol, which is our standard font for Classic versions of Dyalog.
If you do not have this font, you can download our font installer here:
https://www.dyalog.com/uploads/files/fo ... _fonts.msi

Vince

Hi Vince,
You helped me as 1,000 times before. I didn't know about
this option (this font). Thanks a lot!
Have you heard about automation of font conversion in doc(x) document?
Thanks and regards,
sasha.

Dear Woody,
I wanted to use my reply to you to get out doc file to test Vinset's advice.
I didn't find anything attached. That stupid I am:-( Sorry.
After more play with the topic, I think you were (and you ARE) right! When
I open old documents 1) on windows and 2) with ms word, everything goes right
with installed Dyalog Std TT. As you supposed!
You see, I ask question, than research the problem and find a solution, than report
to people that the problem was solved. Sorry and thanks a lot for your assistance!
regards,
sasha.
