Re: Deferred Dependencies
My suggestion of a configuration option was made as nothing more than an off-the-cuff sense that whatever you do someone will disagree - so let people make their own decisions (I'm assuming, of course) that when you write "default" you imply that non-default behaviour will be legitimate.

Re: Deferred Dependencies
Maybe have the default as a configuration option?

Re: Almost every statement is wrong...
Obviously someone who has decided they have an axe to grind. I'm thrown back to my 15-year-old times when I read a book about propaganda - the first rule being to ignore every word of your opponent. And looking at other episodes of this sort of trashing (here and in other spheres) the sure way to ...

Re: Enter APL Symbols
The latter-day equivalent to dropping your acoustic coupler might be the "APL cannot continue and Microsoft is searching for a solution" scenario and it definitely would be helpful to be able to salvage something when this happens.

Re: Problem Fixing a ComboBox in Xaml
I'm not getting any error (W10 and Dyalog APL/W-64 Version 15.0.28601).
Wondering whether your V14.1 and V15 might be connecting to different versions of Microsoft's .NET morass.

Re: Tacit Primes?
Please bear with my ignorance, but could you explain the benefits of tacit as opposed to non-tacit? Readability? Performance? I see the Wikipedia entry saying "... It is also the natural style of certain programming languages, including APL and its derivatives ..." - which is attributed to Neville ...

Re: 2016 GUI recommendations
OK, I understand better now. If you want a rich user interface (resembling current non-APL applications) it might be better to go down the WPF route - the problem there is that APL-based experience and reference materials are thin on the ground and you may find yourself visiting some complex byways ...

Re: 2016 GUI recommendations
Joining in a bit late, but... Not entirely sure what you want to achieve and how being "not a programmer" fits in, but let's not let that deter me. Looked at your website examples (but didn't download anything) and I see a basic-but-extensive GUI where the only real puzzle is how the pictures get ...

Re: I don't think this is meant to happen
Some weeks ago I suggested to Dyalog that it would be preferable (at least for me) if we were able to set what we wanted to use as filename separator - normalising file names through ⎕NPARTS, which seemed like a sensible thing to do, throws up a number of problems if you then try to use the f ...

Re: Vector back copies
I can offer a set from Vol 1 No 1 to Vol 17 No 4 (probably a complete run - too lazy to check), and some of the preceding APLUG CrabAPLs to anyone who wants to collect from me in fashionable Walthamstow (or commit to being at one of Phil's London meetings).
