By the way, reading from the database doesn't work either.
If I enter a text with € directly into MS Access and read it from APL the character € is returned as two blanks.
So much for Unicode removing character set problems :-(

Unfortunately I am having the same problem with a ws saved back in 2005.
Would it be possible to get hold of a sufficiently old version of DAPL to convert it into a newer format?
It is not extremely important for me, but thanks for any help anyway ;-)

Perhaps the recent Windows update to version 1903 could be the culprit? Just a guess, triggered by you saying that it has stopped working "recently".

I am wondering why I can't enter accented characters like ü, é, etc. in a GUI text control?
I the "old days" (Classic) these animals were defined in the keyboard file, but not anymore.
Running v17.1 on Win10.

Another silly question: How can I permanently kill that annoying 'Highlight All Matches" thing? Forever! I hate it! I know I can turn it off once it has pissed me off, but I have not found a place to turn it off completely.

Paul, it's strange, because even if I save the session file with the line numbers turned on they are ...

I can't figure out how to configure the session to always display line numbers in the editor/trace windows. I'm tired of having to turn them on every time I start a session. I can't find a parameter to set anywhere. Can you help? Thanks!
