Issue at Dyalog 18 Beta start
Hi there,
launching Dialog APL 18 Beta I catch this message:
"SALT initialization failed: C:\Users\Mario\Documents\Dyalog APL 18.0 Unicode Files\UserCommand20.cache: Unable to create file"
Where can I change the directory name highlighted in bold?
Thanks.

Dyalog APL for Biomedical Engineering
After years of using APL within the Financial Math domain this time is over, now is the time to change. Looking for a new place where I can cultivate my loved APL I'm recently collaborating with a team of young Biomedical Engineers. This represents to me a way to use my personal time being also ...

Re: V14.1 installation problem
Thanks Vince. If could be useful, the specific case was: in the "Programs/Uninstall a program" section of the Control Palnel Dyalog APL and its components did not appear but trying to install the new version of the interpreter the system blocks the installation as if the software is already ...

Re: V14.1 installation problem
Hi Vince,
my apologies for the delay in answering.
I unfortunately don't have the original files of the beta version and I don't remember the version because, in my many try, I uninstalled the Beta from my PC.

V14.1 installation problem
I'm trying to install the 14.1 under Windows but it seems that it's already installed. For sure I were wrong in unistalling previous versions(I have been installed also the Beta for 14.1). Excuting the Setup.exe only the Dyalog APL IME appears among the installable SW, so that the Dyalog APL ...

Re: APL chars into HTML docs
Did you try xelatex and/or pandoc? do you need any more help/genuineness? /sasha Hi Sasha, I'm at half of the work. I tested xelatex with very good results. Now I'm able to easily mix APL & Math without lose a lot of time in strange character conversions and other alchemic processes. About pandoc I ...

Re: APL chars into HTML docs
... Bizarre, I could have sworn I just copy/pasted that from my APL session(?). Thanks, I have corrected the post. Don't worry Morten. Computers are more and more like humans:, you ask them to do something, they say they will, and then they do something different! I was sure that you had done a ...

Re: APL chars into HTML docs
At the moment I tried both Morten & Fiona code and both perform fine. I know about HTML and XML but I cannot consider myself as an "expert". So my impression is that Fiona code doesn't force the reader to have APL385 font installed on her/his client. Am I right? Thanks also to Brian, Dick and Roger ...
